The spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is a popular, easy-to-grow houseplant native to tropical and southern Africa. It is known for its attractive, long, arching leaves with a central green stripe and white or yellowish margins. The plant is also called airplane plant, ribbon plant, or spider ivy.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light, but can tolerate partial shade or low light.

Water: Allow the soil to dry out briefly between watering.

Temperature: Ideal temperatures are between 65–75°F during the day and 50–55°F at night.

Fertilizer: Feed with a water-soluble or time-release fertilizer during periods of active growth.
