Ilex crenata 'Steeds'An easy-to-grow, densely branched evergreen shrub with an attractive upright, pyramidal form. Dense, lustrous, dark green foliage adds color to the landscape year-round. Tiny white flowers produce ornamental black berries that persist throughout winter.

Water regularly - weekly, or more often in extreme heat. Hollies tolerate full sun to part sun. They prefer a slightly acidic soil, but tend to adapt just about any well-draining soil. After planting, adding a layer of 2 to 3 inches of mulch will help keep the soil moist.
